Update 21-8-2011
With regard to the story below we have received a note that £5,900 out of £6,000 have left Freshstarts account and that we should receive it shortly. We will update this page when it arrives into our account.
Update 29-8-2011
Today we have received the transfer of £5,900 with thanks to Freshstart. We are appreciative that Freshstart have refunded our deposit.
We have placed a deposit for the purchase of 2 houses with a UK Company called Freshstart Living Property who are actively accepting funds from UK, Irish, Malaysian, Chinese and other investors. Shortly after we found out that the company did not own the properties and so asked for a refund.
The salesman immediately admitted his error and explained that he had been given incorrect information.
We were offered a refund of the deposit which we immediately accepted. However this refund has not, as yet, materialised despite many promises. Calls are readily accepted from initial salesman as he seems honest and very disappointed that the directors have not followed through on their promise. There is no response from the directors to email. Should we be anxious?
When we placed our investment it was being promoted by Andrew Camilleri with directors being Phillip Wright and Paul Walker.
Current employees which we had contact with, from or talked about are Daniel Scholes, Matthew Taylor, Amy Lythgoe and Stephanie Sowerby, the initial salesman and another Irish employee who is on holidays as this is written.
Other employees listed are Stuart Cook, Lewis Camilleri, Joe Woodford, Kerry Yan, Alex McDaid and Martin Ellerby.
The employees can now see funds being withheld from us without any basis. Some people would suspect we may not be the only ones. As an employee under a system taking and wrongly holding on to other peoples money this would not be what I would want to be associated with in future job interviews or careers.
Funds are currently being collected on a daily basis and some would ask what, if anything, are they getting for their money. No doubt substantial commissions are being paid and money can mask peoples judgement.
We feel it is possible that this operation may taint the employees reputation into the future.
We would hope that the employees would, as a group, demand honesty from the directors or realise that this job may not be in their best interests.
